ATLANTA—Womble Carlyle attorney Nellie Shipley will be among the speakers at the Marcus & Millichap Southeast Multifamily Forum, taking place March 9th in Atlanta.
Shipley will moderate a panel discussion titled, “Millennials, Boomers, Developers, Oh My! A Deep Dive into the Southeast Construction Boom.” Joining her for the discussion are Mike Bednarski, Principal at Broome Capital; Jay Curran, SVP – Florida & Georgia Multi-Family of Crescent Communities; Brian Metzler, VP – Development of the Pollack Shores Real Estate Group; and Philip Tague, Chairman of the AMLI Development Company.
Her participation in this discussion follows the 2015 publication of her article, “The Multigenerational Impact on CRE: Dealing with a Barbell Makes the Heavy Lifting Easier,” (co-written with Womble Carlyle attorney Sarah Core) in the Newsletter of the CREW Network.
The event will bring together more than 350 property owners, investors, managers and developers from the multifamily housing industry for learning, discover, networking and deal making. Forum sessions will address the major issues affecting the apartment and condo industries in the Carolinas and Georgia.
Nellie Shipley represents parties in the acquisition, financing, entitlement, development, re-development, operation, and disposition of real property. She represents developers, investors, corporations, lenders and governmental entities with commercial real estate interests in the Southeastern United States. She also has earned LEED Professional Accreditation, the leading professional accreditation in the green, or sustainable, construction and development industry.
