CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Carlyle Labor & Employment attorney Jill White will speak at the Alternative Staffing Alliance’s 2016 Annual Conference.
White will provide a “Staffing and Employment Law Update” at the conference. 2016 has brought significant regulatory changes that directly affect ASOs and their customers, including expansive new guidance about joint employer liability under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and a new OSHA rule requiring electronic reporting of workplace injuries and illnesses. White will provide an overview of labor law changes and trends most relevant to the staffing industry, and take questions about staffing contracts, employee on-boarding, HR record-keeping, employment claims and the myriad of other legal issues that affect business practices.
According to the ASA, alternative staffing is an employment strategy that uses a temporary staffing business platform coupled with supportive services to help people with obstacles to employment enter and advance in the workforce.
White’s presentation takes place Friday, Oct. 21st.
