Womble Carlyle’s Sean Houseal will speak at the Annual Seminar of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute in Charleston, SC on June 16-17, 2017. Mr. Houseal will speak on marine pollution developments, and he will provide an oil pollution primer for the 21st Century.
The Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute is an organization of approximately 600 maritime practitioners, in-house counsel and claims professionals, and others engaged in maritime-related occupations, and it provides a forum for the discussion of admiralty and maritime law and its practice and administration.
Sean Houseal’s transportation and logistics practice focuses on the representation of shipowners, charterers and their underwriters, manufacturers of recreational boats and personal watercraft, logistics providers and other maritime and transportation entities in connection with maritime emergencies and disputes involving wrongful death and personal injury, vessel groundings and allisions, cargo claims, vessel security breaches, Natural Resource Damage Assessments stemming from pollution incidents, toxic torts and occupational disease litigation. Mr. Houseal is the leader of Womble Carlyle’s Admiralty, Global Logistics and Transportation Practice, and he is based in the firm’s Charleston, SC office.
