CARLSBAD, CALIF.—Attorneys Chris Gyves, Sonny Haynes, Kevin Lyn and Claire Rauscher represented Womble Carlyle at the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Foundation Conference, held March 15th-17th. The theme for this year’s conference was “Good Lawyers to Great Lawyers.”
Haynes facilitated a panel discussion on “Next Level Leadership: Expanding Opportunities Beyond the Law Department / Firm.” She was joined in the discussion by Guess? Inc. Senior Vice President and General Counsel Deborah Siegel and The Dominion Asset Group President and CEO Teresa Sebastian.
The ACC Foundation Conference brought together in-house counsel, outside counsel and business professionals.
Chris Gyves is a partner in Womble Carlyle’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group and Chair of the Firm’s Public Company Advisors Team, a multi-office team consisting of corporate, capital markets and tax attorneys who service the firm’s public company clients. Gyves has substantial experience in corporate finance, securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, strategic partnering and technology transfer.
Sonny Haynes advises charter schools and education management organizations in the areas of board formation and support, charter application guidance, as well as school policy and compliance. Her litigation practice includes representing a variety of clients from complaint to verdict and on appeal.
Kevin Lyn is an experienced Intellectual Property attorney who helps clients prepare, prosecute and commercialize patents. He has counseled clients on matters related to mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, business method, software and Internet-related technologies.
Claire Rauscher brings more than 25 years of courtroom experience to Womble Carlyle’s White Collar Criminal Defense team. Rauscher focuses her practice on complex white collar litigation, and has represented clients in all phases of state and federal proceedings, including pre-indictment investigations, grand jury practice and criminal trials.
