CHARLESTON, S.C.—The Site Selectors Guild has named the Charleston region the winner of its “Best Project of the Year” for the Thorne Research economic development project.
Womble Carlyle attorney Stephanie Yarbrough is among the key leaders cited for her work on the Thorne Research project.
In 2016, Thorne Research, Inc. announced plans to build a new corporate headquarters and nutritional supplement manufacturing facility in Berkeley County, S.C. The project is expected to create 330 new jobs. The Thorne project will create the largest life sciences headquarters and manufacturing company in the history of South Carolina’s Low Country.
The 240,000-square-foot complex is scheduled to be fully operational by mid-2018. Thorne is relocating its corporate headquarters from Idaho to South Carolina.
