Joshua Davis is a patent litigation attorney who joins Womble Carlyle with over ten years of experience in biotechnology and multiparty ANDA litigation.
Joshua has considerable experience in all aspects of litigation, including leading pre-suit investigations, conducting fact and expert discovery, drafting briefs and motions, representing clients in court, counseling clients on document preservation and retention policies and procedures, and resolving disputes through settlements or trial. Joshua also has particular experience representing multinational biopharma companies in international settings—including in international arbitrations—and in addressing cross-border discovery issues. Joshua also has particular experience in obtaining U.S. recognition of foreign judgments and arbitration awards.

Prior to his legal career, Joshua enjoyed a successful scientific career. At Yale, he worked as part of a team of researchers studying the structure and function of protein-RNA complexes. At The Scripps Research Institute, Joshua developed and published a high-profile structural analysis of a fundamental protein complex involved in genetic regulation.
