Chris has a dynamic finance and insolvency practice concentrated in the following areas:
Workouts. Chris frequently represents financial institutions, CMBS servicers, and distressed debt investors in workout and modification of complex distressed loans and exercising remedies, including receiverships, foreclosures, forced dispositions, and UCC sales.
Bankruptcy and Insolvency. Chris advises various stakeholders in bankruptcy-related transactions and bankruptcy litigation. He represents strategic and financial buyers in purchasing distressed assets. He also represents creditors in cash collateral matters, fraudulent transfer and preference litigation, lift-stay motions, and plan confirmation issues. A significant portion of his practice involves counseling corporate clients on their commercial contracts to determine the likely consequences in the event their vendors or business partners become insolvent or file bankruptcy.
