Tom Wilmoth defends companies in complex product liability litigation, with a focus on smoking and health cases. He is experienced in preparing expert witnesses who deliver medical and scientific testimony, working with witnesses in such fields as oncology, pathology, cardiology, pulmonology and toxicology. He also has experience conducting research and drafting pleadings for smoking and health litigation.
Tom frequently works on site during smoking and health trials, including a number of Engle class cases in Florida.
In addition, Tom devotes a portion of his time to pro bono work. He represented an 11-year-old Honduran child in a lengthy removal proceeding, and was successful in convincing the court to allow the child to remain with family in the U.S.
Tom is an Eagle Scout and a former Greensboro Police Department officer.
