She is an experienced attorney in the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice group.
As a member of the Financial Services Litigation Team and the Consumer Finance Litigation Team, Connie represents banks and servicers in consumer finance litigation under the FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, and RESPA, mortgage and foreclosure matters, servicing violations, real estate and title disputes, and lender liability claims, including ECOA violations, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, anti-tying violations and unfair and deceptive trade practices. She routinely practices in state and federal court in North and South Carolina as well as Georgia.
She has extensive Chapter 11 experience on cash collateral issues, motions to dismiss, motions for stay relief and contested confirmation proceedings. Connie also routinely litigates in complex Chapter 11 adversary proceedings. She also has experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 motions to dismiss, motions to deny discharge or deny dischargeability of a debt and Chapter 13 plan confirmation issues.
