Since its establishment in 2004, the Womble Carlyle Scholars Program has awarded more than $600,000 to 75 Scholars. Each year we will award scholarships to two diverse second year law students who present solid academic credentials, personal or professional achievement outside the school environment, and a record of significant community service. This program is designed to increase the participation of underrepresented groups in the bar and at Womble Carlyle.
Specific details of the scholarship are as follows:
Womble Carlyle Scholars Program Application Process
2016 scholars program applications must be submitted to Womble Carlyle by July 15, 2016. Applicants should note that it is their responsibility to ensure that all portions of their application are received by the Firm by the deadline stated above.
The Womble Carlyle Scholars Program Application shall include all of the following:
1) Knowing what you know about the current legal market, what motivates you to continue to pursue a career in a law firm environment?
2) Tell us about a difficult situation you have faced in a work or school environment. What made it difficult and were you able to resolve it?
3) Of all of the volunteer or extracurricular activities you are currently involved in or have been involved in, which has been the most important to you and why?
